Tickets On Sale Nov. 17; More Acts Join Blue Angels at 2022 Spirit of St. Louis Air Show & STEM Expo

CHESTERFIELD, Mo., Nov. 10, 2021 – Limited “early release” tickets for the 2022 Spirit of St. Louis Air Show & STEM Expo presented by Boeing, headlined by the US Navy Blue Angels in their made-in-Missouri F/A-18 Super Hornets, will go on sale November 17. The event takes place June 11 -12, 2022 and all tickets for the 2022 event will be sold ONLINE ONLY.

Additionally, the Air Show & STEM Expo has added Matt Younkin in his Beech 30 and the PB4Y-2 Privateer to the growing list of performers. Matt Younkin is a one of the top aerobatic pilots in the industry and his performance is described as “the most graceful and beautiful performance the airshow industry has to offer.” The second new addition, the historic PB4Y-2 Privateer, was formerly a U.S. Navy patrol bomber that performed low-level strikes against enemy shipping in WWII, flew spy missions in the 1950s, and served with the U.S. Coast Guard and French Aeronavale. This will be the first demonstration of a Privateer in the St. Louis region. The Privateer will perform in the air show and be on display on the extensive static ramp at the event.

These performers will join the US Navy Blue Angels, Skip Stewart, one of the most talented aerobatic pilots in the world, the Phillips 66® Team, the CAF Red Tail Squadron, honoring our Tuskegee Airmen, B-29 “Doc,” and the B-17 “Yankee Lady” at the June 2022 Spirit of St. Louis Air Show & STEM Expo in Chesterfield, Missouri. More performers will be announced in the coming months.

“Our mission is to take the wonder that is created by these performers and inspire the next generation of STEM professionals,” John Bales, president of the Spirit of St. Louis Airshow & STEM Expo and Spirit of St. Louis Airport Director, said. “These are amazing flyers, and when we can combine their impact with the hands-on experiences in our STEM Expo, we can change the future together.”

All tickets for the 2022 event will be sold ONLINE ONLY at www.spirit-airshow.com and a limited amount of “early release” tickets will go on sale on November 17, 2021. Additional tickets will become available closer to the 2022 event.

The Spirit of St. Louis Air Show & STEM Expo is a non-profit organization founded in 2012, restarting the legacy air show previously known as the St. Louis County Fair & Air Show as an independent, volunteer-run organization.
