F-35A to Take Flight with U.S. Navy Blue Angels
June 11-12, 2022, the amazing US Navy Blue Angels will take to the skies over Chesterfield at the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show & STEM Expo, presented by Boeing. And we are excited to announce that they will be joined by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) F-35A Demo Team.
The F-35A Demo Team is a single-ship display, piloted by USAF Major Kristin “BEO” Wolfe. Major. Wolfe has been flying F-35s since she transitioned from the F-22A Raptor in 2017. She has more than 800 total flight hours and has also flown the T-6 and T-38C. She has served in the USAF since 2011.
“It’s extremely humbling and rewarding to get the opportunity to showcase the F-35A at so many different locations,” Capt. Wolfe said. “It’s a privilege to work with the best airmen … and to give people a small glimpse of what this jet is capable of.”
In addition to the USAF F-35A and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show & STEM Expo, presented by Boeing, will feature Skip Stewart, the CAF Red Tail P-51 Mustang, Matt Younkin in his Beech 18, “Yankee Lady” B-17G, B-29 “Doc,” the Phillips 66 Team, the PB4Y-2 Privateer, Spitfire, Hurricane and other amazing aircraft to be announced in the coming months.
